The outer skin of the building is made up of over 10,000 LED lights that can be programmed to create different patterns and images. The lights are also used to indicate weather conditions in real-time. For example, if it is raining, the lights will turn blue; if it is sunny, they will turn yellow.
The Shanghai Tower has 128 stories and a total floor area of 380,000 square metres (4 million square feet). The building includes retail space, offices, hotel rooms, conference rooms, and an observation deck on the top floor. There are also several restaurants and bars located throughout the building.
The building is the headquarters of the Shanghai Tower Construction and Development Company. The company is responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the tower.
